If this problem occurs, first click the on the ‘Start’ button and take ‘Run’. Then type ‘EVENTVWR’ in the command box. Then click the ‘ok’ button. Then click ‘Application’ log on the ‘Event viewer’. Then search for an event with an ID of 1005 in the ‘Application error sources’ list and double click on the event. Then you have to note down the file name that will be listed in the description box. Then close the event properties. Then try to open the file again by double clicking on it. If you cannot open the files, then your drive is damaged. Then you have to replace the drive. If the file is opened, the errors are removed.
If the installation of the programs doesn’t work, first change the directory to CD ROM drive. Then open MS DOS prompt and type ‘dir/s’ there. Then disable the CD-ROM drive cache. Then click the ‘Start’ button and take ‘Control panel’ from the settings. Then double click on the ‘System’ icon and select ‘performance’ tab. Then click on the ‘file system’ and select the ‘CD-ROM’ tab. After that click on the ‘no read-ahead’ from the list and click on the ‘ok’ button. Then turn off the ‘auto play’ option and restart your computer. This will solve your problem and it will work properly.
